Whoa… my buffer has almost caught up to me. I only made one comic last weekend and I was busy Geocaching as well as indoor rock climbing for most of this weekend. I knew I had to finish a comic tonight (Sunday) otherwise I would not have time before it is published. I will need to make Saturday’s sometime this week or get up early on Saturday morning.

I am beginning a new arc here, I think we are done with the main introductions so I’m beginning to create some new paths for our characters. You’ll find out how Eddie and Jayne spend their weekdays.

Painter 11 kept crashing whenever I tried to work on this one… until I realised that it seemed to have something to do with the default eraser? After figured that out I was able to finish it eventually… and it only took five or six crashes while working on the first panel for me to learn to stop doing that that.

Well I guess I forgot to do something special for the Easter weekend. I’ll save the Easter-Bunnyears jokes for next year.

Here is the answer for any of you who were seeing the title characters up the top of the page (or my banner ad elsewhere) and were wondering if Winston was going to show up. If you are reading this before today’s comic then I have a second answer for you: read it.

Do I some of you trying to ask a third question? The answer to that one might be: I don’t have any plans at this stage to introduce Scurvy Joe even though he is in the same title image. These three are probably going to be the only blombos we see for a while. But you never know

As much as I like how this one turned out why did I have to make a car as a character? Most of the time I spent on this comic was just to draw Aly. I’m glad I went with the huge box instead of making a nine panel strip to space out Aly’s song… that would have been painful.

If you haven’t done so already I would really appreciate it if you answer a quick question for me.

I’m currently (and will continue) practising Jayne as much as possible to make sure I am familiar with her. This will hopefully improve her consistency between panels, angles and generally help me draw her quicker. Eddie is still a bit wooden, he’ll be next.

I’ve made some minor page layout changes – mainly moved the news\blog (what you are reading!) down to the bottom and tweaked the layout of the ads. Hopefully this means the screen will be easier to read and you won’t have to fight the horizontal scrollbar on smaller resolutions.

Firstly, I would really appreciate your opinion – it will only take a few seconds.

I’m not so sure about how I ended this one… but it’s at least marginally better than ending with the pun in panel 5.

I had adjusted the timezone issue last Wednesday so that updates are more globally accurate in their Wednesdayedness and Saturdayosity (but because I arbitrarily picked Chicago-time without really knowing much about US geography anyone in an earlier timezone will still be seeing updates very late Tues\Fri)

Update: Wahay! The server appears to be up and running again! My host had a power failure of some description and was out for a couple of hours on Saturday.

When I realised that April Fool’s day falls on a Blombo Tale day and that won’t happen again for another six years I knew I should do *something*. (Although I would like to think that I’ll be able to update more before then).

In celebration I have taken a short break from the story to present you with something random for your April-Foolery. And look! It is in colour too!

We shall return to find out what happened to Bunnyears on Saturday.

If you are reading this then it means that the comic will continue to update at whatever time this was. It seems that Madam Technology has decided to play nice and allow the time change to go through successfully. Either that or she is just pretending, storing up her anger until it ultimately leads to bitter ‘irreconcilable differences’ in a decades time and she will take custody of the subdomains. Why doesn’t anyone think of the subdomains?!

Also: I am currently enjoying Awkward Adventures – the characters are so cute and the silliness overflows from the comic into the posts at the bottom of every page. I am currently working my way through the archive slowly.
